Amazing pool!! --> a clean n' fresh experience/workout. On the day I swam (mid summer day) the pool was not crowded and the diving well was open. A very inviting atmosphere for a foreign visitor
The locker rooms were a bit dated, split between men and women's changing room but there was some construction going on so maybe an update was coming soon. Good warm showers available for post swim
Go take a dip!!
The facility is old, but showers have been upgraded. I think they are slowly updating everything. There were only a couple lanes dedicated to laps, but I managed to get lucky to share mine with other people looking to swim according to some basic etiquette. The venue is fun and they even serve beers on site - not a perk you'd get in Canada.
I love this pool. In May, it’s already very nice to swim there as the water is heated. Don’t forget to bring a lock for the locker room. If you have 1 Euro coin, they have small boxes by the pool to close your phone and money while swimming. Behind the pool, large green area to chill.
This Swimmingpool is One of the best place for training !! You can Jump Herr from 5-8-10 m it s fun :) also
Seems so romantic with this round stones to sit Or lay down for sun bath! 10 mi Walk to Sbahn Heerstr. Or Theodorheussplatz .
Great pool. I visited it on a warm Sunday (around 29C) and there was hardly any queue. What do you need more :)
Pros:
- Clean swimming pool
- diving, swimming & kids pool are separate.
- has a bristo just in case.
- it's outdoor pool so great place for sunbathing.
Cons
- a bit too far for someone living in East or south Berlin
- need to bring your own padlock!!
- toilets not clean
Overall, I would definitely recommend to visit!
What a great pool perfect place to cool down and you can easily spand the day there with the family. Great diving pool that is nice and deep to plunge into off the different diving boards. Then the Olympic size swimming pool to swim in. Amazing to me was that the pool is made of metal. So sparkles like crazy.
My favorite outdoor swimming-pool.
Built for the 1936 Summer Olympic Games. So it is quite historic. …
I cycled an hour to visit here! Friendly guy on the gate and THE most beautiful lido - stainless steel lining 😍. Changing rooms spotlessly clean and a wonderful swim …
Awesome outdoor pool. There is another area with diving boards and a kiddie pool too. Plenty of places to sit and sunbathe. Very cheap for a day ticket. There is also a kiosk which serves food and drinks, all at very reasonable prices. Well recommended.
Great historical atmosphere in the old Olympic stadium. Facilities show their age but most things run smoothly. 50m pool is great for swimming but can get rather busy especially on hot days. Get there early or be prepared.
